THURISTAR is a small indie production company created by author and director Joeri Christiaen in 2008, to develop and produce homegrown animation projects. 

PLANKTON INVASION the web series, created by Joeri in 2007, is now being transposed into a TV series, produced by TeamTO, Vivi Film and Tinkertree, in coproduction with Canal+. Aside from Joeri's involvment as creator and director on his first TV series, THURISTAR is producing indie short films.

FAIR TRADING ? a one-min short completed in September 2009 within one month and without any budget, is the first production of THURISTAR.

THURISTAR is now busy on a bigger-scale production, the 12-minute short film entitled 850 METERS, in coproduction with Lunanime and with the participation of the VAF (the Flemish Audiovisual Fund). The film is in production and will be completed in 2012.
